La Fondation Dassault Systemes Expands To India
The Dassault Systemes
Foundation Aims to Transform Education and Research with the Learning and
Discovery Capabilities of 3D Technology and Virtual Universes
Dassault Systemes, the
3DEXPERIENCE Company, has announced today that it is extending its “La
Fondation Dassault Systemes”, global initiative to transform education and
research in India .
This is the third geography after Europe and US where Dassault Systemes is
introducing La Fondation and it enhances the commitment of Dassault Systemes
for India .
La Fondation Dassault
Systemes, is dedicated to transforming the future of education and research
with the learning and discovery capabilities of 3D technology and virtual
universes. La Fondation Dassault Systemes started its operation in Europe in
2015, in the United States of America
in 2017 and now expands its scope to India . Launch of La Fondation in India as Dassault Systemes
Foundation extends the scope of the foundation’s social contribution to India , enabling
creation of new learning experiences and encouraging greater interest in
science, mathematics, engineering and technology disciplines among students.
The Dassault Systemes
Foundation will provide grants, digital content and skillsets in virtual
technologies to qualified non-commercial, non-profit projects proposed by
schools, universities, engineering/science colleges, researchers, museums and
other foundations located in India .
This will foster greater knowledge in the 3D content, technology and simulation
applications that have long been used by industry for the design, engineering
and manufacturing of most of the products society relies on today. These
technologies can be leveraged to create new education content where the
experience in virtual universes greatly improves the learning of science and
research, and skill development.
“In 2015, United Nations
adopted a set of 17 goals to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure
prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda,”
said Thibault de Tersant, President, La Fondation Dassault Systemes. “It
is in this context that Dassault Systemes decided to create its foundation,
with a strong focus on education to enable everyone to have the level of skills
that will both meet the new needs of the industry and provide motivating work.
Today, it seems obvious and relevant to extend our action to India , because
of its large percentage of young population, out of which 1.5 million engineers
graduate every year. La Fondation Dassault Systemes in India will support projects to
enhance their skills, the applicability of their knowledge to the future of the
industry.”
