Get Ready To Pedal The World With Dhruv Bogra At The First Niyozen Meet-Up In Delhi NCR

Most of us have cycled at some point in time in our lives. As kids, two wheels and pedals used to be our companions through neighborhood alleys, secret hiding spots and even the boring errands that moms used to send us on.

Then, as we grew up, cycles were replaced by motorbikes which eventually were taken over by four wheelers. Convenience, speed and peer pressure pushed the bicycle to a forgotten corner.

But not for everyone. There are some who have scaled new heights (or shall we say ‘longer distances’?) using their bicycles. Niyozen, the new age travelers’ community, brings its meet-up to Delhi to introduce to you some inspirational pedallers.

Come, meet and rekindle your cycling dreams with Dhruv Bogra (Insta: @dhruvbograofficial) who has cycled from Alaska to Peru. Yes, you read that right. The journey took him 400 days, through 10 countries and countless experiences. This Delhi cyclist, not just completed this jaw-dropping journey on a cycle, but also came back to write an inspiring book called ‘Grit, Gravel and Gear’.

Dhruv undertook a transcontinental bicycle odyssey fraught with adventure, exploration and peril when he chose to plunge into the far end of the planet to fulfill a childhood dream of exploring the lands and indigenous culture of the Arctic, the Maya, Zapotec and Aztec in Mexico and Central America and the Inca in Peru.

He cycled alone for 15,000 Kilometers across ten countries from the cold and barren wilderness of the unforgiving Arctic Tundra to the thin air of the Andes at 4500 metres he endured hardship, misery, catharsis, happiness, and unbridled joy.

Joining him will be other Delhi NCR based avid cyclists who will talk about their bicycle touring experience. Anupam Gupta, admin of cycloholics group, will present his talk on how a motoring tourist became a cycling explorer. Shravani Sen, an inspiring cyclist herself, will talk about her journey from cycling to travel to endurance. Badrud Zama will talk about some of his memorable rides across India.
